All Raleigh Rugby Club Members and Supporters:

As you may know the Vipers made a big move a few seasons ago to join the ranks of Division 1 rugby. This was a very large task that not only meant taking on more elite competition but also a much higher financial burden. With a larger territory that expanded all the way to upper Pennsylvania the Vipers committed to fund all of their traveling expenses without the assistance of the club. With a struggling economy and money being scarce, the Vipers have not only been able to maintain the ability to travel with adequate numbers to all away matches but also remain a competitive force that has led them to the MARFU Division 1 playoffs in Boston at the end of this month.

That being said, the Vipers need your help. After a financially straining fall and spring season the Vipers are set again to travel to Boston , MA to play in the D1 Playoffs. This entails not only hotels and transportation but also flights and additional funds while traveling. The team will be traveling with upwards of 25 players along with coaches. These 25 or so players have already purchased their flights which are typically the most expensive portion of the trip but need our help with hotels and transportation.

Our goal is to raise $3,000 in the month of April to aid our players in their quest for another National Championship. This breaks down to roughly $120 per player. With your completely tax deductable donations we will be able to provide hotel accommodations and safe transportation to and from matches for our team.

This club has always taken care of its own…whether Viper or Venom, Rattler or Old Boy/Girl we have always stepped up when it was needed and we need you again! Please follow the link https://raleighrugby.org/dues-donations <https://raleighrugby.org/dues-donations> to make a tax deductable donation of any amount to the Vipers Playoff Fund. Any and all donations will be accepted and most of all appreciated. The Vipers and the rest of the Raleigh Rugby Club thank you in advance for your assistance and hope to see you soon at the pitch.

Thank you,

Brent Vaughn
Chairman Raleigh RFC
