To Rob and staff:

Thanks so much for the invite to your NCYR rugby tournament. I can tell you that it was a great experience for our children and that they had a blast, I think they will be talking about it for months to come and are already looking forward to coming back next year. You guys did a bang up job running this tournament and we are in agreement regarding the Ref’s, excellent job from that professional staff.

Our club as a whole, likes to travel and play in other states tournaments. We feel it is a great way for our children to experience the game and at the same time build respect and friendships with their peers in other states. As a coach and the GM for the Wolfpack, I tend to base whether or not any one tournament was a success, not only by wins or losses but by what the children learned from the tournament. If they walk away with a sense of sportsmanship and respect for the other teams they played then we qualify the event as a success and in most cases this can only happen when you are afforded the same in return from the teams you are playing. Your boys all did a great job of reflecting what the game and this tournament meant to them and we appreciate the excellent play and sportsmanship on the field.

Please feel free to call us anytime, should you want to include us in anything you are doing. Our club plays U-15 through U-19 from Spring through August 1 and U-13 during the summer in the VA rugby league. We would love to start them in the spring but we have been unable to find matches at this level in the spring, so please keep us in mind next spring should anyone want to do a trade off. Our U-13s really needed this tournament as they have been on the practice pitch 3 days a week since march and had not seen a match until this one, so again I can’t thank you enough for making this experience for them a great one, one they will probably never forget and for a few, it was their first ever match and I know after this experience, they have to be a lock for years to come.

Looking forward to next year

Big Dittos Adam and was great having all of you out for the tournament. We all managed to get a full day of safe, really great rugby on a very warm day. Some barn-burner matches as well.

Rob thanks very much for organizing the U15 and U13 matches as well as helping to ensure that all lads were able to participate in this event. The setup was perfect for the day and everyone there had plenty of play time and fun.

Thanks to all of the teams for making the trip and participating and to Jonathan Worrall and Chic Cariaga for helping Raleigh with this event. Tevis, the referee setup was second to none. You all did an EXCELLENT job!

A very exceptional “shout out” to the Warrenton, VA Wolfpack for making the trip and for a great tournament. Their lads played and represented well.
We did not know who they were before this tournament, but we do now.

I think that getting to witness firsthand the collective “character” of all the players participating gave to me a great feeling of satisfaction that our coaches, referees, parents and league officials are all doing a splendid job with teaching these youngsters to honor the game and give it their best. Lots of success stories on those pitches last Saturday.

Thanks to all for your time, effort, sweat, sacrifice and passion for this sport. I know we have helped shape some young lives and we are all the better for it.
